EXPERT WITNESS SERVICES

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expert witness in a civil action, which was then pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, regarding what would be a usual, customary, reasonable fee for the legal services that were the subject of the action.  Mr. Jamison prepared a report of his opinions and extensively conferred with the attorney representing the party that had designated him as an expert witness.  The matter was resolved by agreement before Mr. Jamison testified.

 

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expect witness in a divorce suit, which was then pending in the 301st Judicial District Court of Dallas County, Texas, regarding rules of construction of contracts under Texas law, the meaning and legal effect of certain contractual provisions, and whether an attorney had fully complied with fiduciary duties and duties imposed by the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct with respect to a conflict of interest.  Mr. Jamison prepared a report of his opinions, extensively conferred with the numerous attorneys representing the party who had designated him as an expert witness, attended a deposition or possibly two, and testified in a deposition. The matter was resolved by agreement before Mr. Jamison testified at trial.

 

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expert witness in a civil action, which was then pending in the 199th Judicial District Court of Collin County, Texas, regarding whether an insurance broker had violated a standard of care, whether an insurance company’s liability had become reasonably clear, and what would be a usual, customary, reasonable fee for the legal services reasonably necessary to prosecute claims asserted in the action.  Mr. Jamison prepared a report of his opinions, extensively conferred with the attorney representing the party who had designated him as an expert witness, and made a presentation at a mediation.  The matter was resolved by agreement at the mediation before Mr. Jamison testified.

 

 

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expert witness in a civil action, which was then pending in the 296th Judicial District Court of Collin County, Texas, and regarding what would be a usual, customary, reasonable fee for the legal services reasonably necessary to prosecute the claim asserted in the action.  Mr. Jamison prepared a report of his opinions; however, the matter settled before he testified.

 

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expert witness in a civil action, which was then pending in the 10th Judicial District Court of Galveston County, Texas, regarding whether the interests of multiple parties represented by the same attorney materially conflicted, whether such attorney had fully complied with fiduciary duties and duties imposed by the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct with respect to the conflict of interest, and whether the attorney had breached the standard of care, and regarding matters related to foreign law, what would be a usual, customary, reasonable fee for the legal services rendered in the underlying case, causation of damages, and a motion for new trial filed in the underlying case and the appeal of a judgment rendered in the underlying case.  Mr. Jamison assisted in the preparation of the document designating him as an expert witness, extensively conferred with the attorney representing the party who had designated him as an expert witness, and attended a deposition or two.  The matter was resolved by agreement before Mr. Jamison testified.

 

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expert witness in an arbitration proceeding, regarding whether the interests of multiple parties represented by the same two attorneys in a law firm materially conflicted and whether such attorneys had fully complied with fiduciary duties and duties imposed by the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct with respect to the conflict of interest.  Mr. Jamison prepared a report of his opinions, and after he testified before the arbitration panel, the panel entered an award consistent with his testimony.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expert witness in a civil action, which was then pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Amarillo Division, regarding what would be a usual, customary, reasonable fee for the legal services reasonably necessary to prosecute the claim asserted in the action.  Mr. Jamison testified live during the trial of that action.

 

Mr. Jamison testified as an expert witness by way of an affidavit in a civil action, which was then pending in the 296th Judicial District Court of Collin County, Texas, regarding what would be a usual, customary, reasonable fee for the legal services reasonably necessary to prosecute the claim for declaratory relief asserted in the action.

 

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expert witness in an arbitration proceeding, regarding the necessity of segregating attorneys’ fees incurred in connection with prosecution of a cause of action for which fees were recoverable from those legal services for which fees were not recoverable.  Mr. Jamison prepared a report of his opinions, and testified live before the arbitration panel.

 

Mr. Jamison was asked to serve as an expert witness in a civil action, which was then pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division, regarding what would be a usual, customary, reasonable fee for the legal services reasonably necessary to prosecute the claim asserted in the action.

 

Mr. Jamison testified as an expert witness in a proceeding then pending in the Probate Court No. 3 in Dallas County, regarding what would be a usual, customary, reasonable fee for the legal services reasonably necessary to assert the matters in controversy.  After Mr. Jamison testified, the court rendered judgment consistent with his testimony
